I’m trying to finish up some homework for class tomorrow and ran into this quote from the British Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli. He was being pestered by a supporter who wanted a noble title. Disraeli told him:

“You know I cannot give you a baronetcy, but you can tell your friends that I offered you one and you refused it.”
