Support Creative Commons

Many of you have had to put up with my rants on the horrible state of intellectual property laws here in the U.S. Our world benefits so much from participation and group innovation, yet we insist on putting ideas in a locked room of copyright and patents. I believe we need to build a participatory culture where ideas can be extended, mashed up, and mixed. I don’t believe we shouldn’t protect ideas so that innovators are rewarded for their work. I just think we have to do it in a less restrictive way. If you have the means, please support creative commons. IP rights is going to be one of the biggest issues of the next decade and this organization has it right.
