My cousin Julie, who battled stage IV breast cancer for two years, moved to hospice care on Saturday after a final chemo regiment failed. She was surrounded by family in her final days and passed away peacefully on Sunday morning. She will be will be greatly missed by all of us.
Julie was an inspiration to both (my) Julie and me when we dealt with our cancers. Julie had an amazing glow and walked in grace, even in the toughest of times. She taught us what strength really meant, when in the face of pain most of us have never experienced, she continued to do everything she could for her three children.
Twenty two cousins on the Johnston side. Julie, the youngest of eight brothers and sisters. She is a part of us all and will live on through this family. We are lucky to have known her.
We miss you Julie.

I was so sad to hear the news. May we all press on so that cancer is one day a thing of the past.
I just caught up on your blog and my heart is aching as I read your post. Death is so cruel. My thoughts are with all of you today.
