I think twitter is dumb.

Update: Peter Chane explained to me why twitter might not be dumb. He feels his online relationships are much richer than his offline relationships (I agree) because it is much easier to stay in touch. Twitter, he claims, when used correctly, actually provides an even higher degree of intimacy than a blog. I’m skeptical, but always willing to listen…

Update #2: eating Twitter crow

    Just refilled my coffee.
    Wow, it’s warm outside.
    Reading Scott’s blog.
Now I’m typing a comment on Scott’s blog.
    I wrote “I agree.”

I think the biggest problem with blogs were: 1) People finding enough interesting stuff to write about; and 2) Updating them frequently enough. Twitter solves all of that by constantly posting inane stuff I could care less about.

So true. Blogs don’t kill people, people kill people.

First I’m proud to be mentioned on your blog. I’ve always wanted to be famous and now I am. Whee!

Next I want to make another statement about blogs. Justin.tv is the next step. A blog tells you some things about someone else. Twitter tells you more things about someone else. Justin.TV tells you *everything* about someone else (although in video form which is highly inefficient.)

I also think Logitech should productize Justin.TV with a nice wearable camera that is integrated into those earpiece cellphone headsets.

Justin.TV is the future of blogging.
