Surviving Cancer, My Story

They say it could have been there for years or maybe just months. It was there long enough to really upset my body. So while I can’t tell you how long I had cancer I can identify exactly when my body started to revolt. Two years later it is all so obvious what was happening to me but at the time it was terrifying — I was slowly going crazy and had no idea why. In the end I was lucky — really, really, really lucky. Many others are not and a day does not go by I don’t appreciate this harsh fact.

This is my story.

  1. The Signs - My body throws a red flag, I ignore it
  2. The Diagnosis - Proof my wife is my soulmate
  3. The Wait - It doesn’t get any worse than this
  4. The Treatment - Don’t forget the socks
  5. The Aftermath - “How has this changed you?” everybody asks
  6. The Lessons - “What has this taught you?” everybody asks
  7. The End - And just the beginning…
